I’m currently in the M.S. in Information Sciences program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and planning to graduate in May 2020. I am concentrating on Academic Libraries and Digital Libraries.
I grew up in Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, and Korea, and went to boarding school in Connecticut. I graduated from the University of Virginia in 2007 with a B.A. (with Distinction) in Art History and English (Modern Studies). My Distinguished Major’s thesis in Art History was on African-American Vernacular Art from the South, and my English studies focused on cross-cultural literature, particularly Asian-American.
After graduating, I moved to Los Angeles and worked for an auction house for eight years, starting in Finance and moving into Fine Books & Manuscripts. I spent the last four years of my career as an Entertainment Memorabilia specialist. I moved back to Charlottesville in 2016 to work for a private family foundation and Chinese modern art collection. I started graduate school in 2019 and now work at the Claude Moore Health Sciences Library at UVA.
