I grew up in Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, and Korea, and went to boarding school in Connecticut. I graduated from the University of Virginia in 2007 with a B.A. (with Distinction) in Art History and English.
After graduating, I moved to Los Angeles and worked for Bonhams auction house for eight years, starting in Finance and then becoming a Business Manager for the Fine Books & Manuscripts and Entertainment Memorabilia departments. I spent my final four years at Bonhams as an Entertainment Memorabilia specialist, working on auctions produced in conjunction with Turner Classic Movies. I moved back to Charlottesville in 2016 to work for a private family foundation and Chinese modern art collection. In 2019, I began my graduate studies and a new position at the Claude Moore Health Sciences Library at UVA.
